“Hey, Transformers fans and HasLab Deathsaurus backers! We’re here with a long- awaited update for you. Together with our amazing partners at Takara Tomy, we’ve been working incredibly hard to get the Decepticon Emperor of Destruction tooled up and into pre-production! It’s going to be one of the most amazing Transformers projects yet, and we cannot wait to see what you think!

Until we reach the point when we can show you the tooling process, let’s shift gears and talk about something equally as exciting – the PACKAGING! As this HasLab is a direct companion (read arch-nemesis!) to our previous HasLab, Victory Saber, we strived to bring consistency to the box art. Of course, this means there was no one else we felt could better connect a bridge between the two than Transformers Hall of Fame Comic Artist, Guido Guidi!

So here it is! Your EXCLUSIVE first look at Guido’s early draft that brings Deathsaurus to life!

Knowing that Deathsaurus would want his Imperial portrait to capture the full breadth of his tyrannical mightiness, we felt that it was important to showcase as much as we could in the artwork. Since his throne is an integral part of the show, and iconic to Deathsaurus more so, it needed to be featured on the front of the box. Equally, we wanted Tigerchest and Eaglechest to be prominently featured as well, since they’re the first of their kind in Transformers: Legacy.

We hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into just one of the many processes intricately woven into bringing this HasLab to you, and all of the hard work that’s being poured into creating the ultimate Transformers HasLab. We’ll be back soon with even more exciting behind-the-scenes production updates!

The best boogie down beach comber in the bot business friends, he is finally here, Legacy Evolution Deluxe Minibot BeachComber and his fine feathered forest friend Paradise Parakeet are ready to be maxing and chillaxing in your TF collection.

I had mentioned in the livestream, we made sure to put PVC, a rigid and flexible plastic like rubber, for the dune buggies tires. As a kid, I was absolutely fascinated with the way the rubber tires on the G1 figure’s rolled so well and it was cemented in my brain as a must for this figure. It also opened up the possibility to get the 5mm posted bird in the mold which, obviously, brought a huge smile to my face. It just really highlighted the light hearted nature loving character BeachComber is.

On the flipside, BeachComber is an autobot who is essentially ready for battle, I had always envisioned a cool machine gun on top of the dune buggy due to my love for GIJOE. With the Evofusion capability it also provided an opportunity to add in a gloss blacked out grill that makes the front of the vehicle look alot more fierce and complete.

Its always a pleasure working with Shuhei Umezu san, his abilities and ideas I feel work very complementary with mine. We have some really insane figures we are working on now that are really making my head spin!

To note, I did do some extra rounds of making sure the head sculpt was right, the POTP (power of the primes) toy had this soul patch sculpted on its chin which always confused me.

Oh, one last thing, the g2 metallic green version has been a desktop bot for a very many years, no clue if we will be able to do one but I might just get back in the spraybooth and do one for myself. Not sure Ill be able to replicate the vacmetal but “Oh My! Ba ba bu bud du bee its paradise”

Finally, Legacy Evolution Deluxe Devcon the amazing autobot bounty hunter is ready to capture some decepticreeps and cash in on some energon rewards.

First off, big shout outs to Ittoku Kuwazu san and Shogo Hasui san from Takara Tomy. Working with them on this guy was a dream come true. Devcon always had a demanding presence, great color scheme, and just an overall amazing design aesthetic thats all been captured here on this wicked cool looking figure.

Great articulation and sculpt work here, its amazing how different he is from his mold mate Blurr. Partials are always fun to work on, I think everyone really enjoys looking at a figure and trying dream up a way to turn them into a version of your favorite bot.

Enjoy the capabilities showcased in these pics, extra firepower to really hunt the baddest bots, jetpack capabilities, sculpt details and articulation that will keep you hyped for serious photoshoots and play sessions. I didn’t have an earthrise Smokescreen sadly but early in the process Takara sent over photos in grey prototype model form with his boy. They just look stellar together. I’ll try to find some more time to dive into the rest of the deep bot bag of tricks from today.
