Auf seinem Blog hat Simon Furman Kommentare niedergeschrieben, in denen es um das IDW Comic Transformers Regeneration 1 Heft 85 geht. Er Spricht über den Showdown zwischen Optimus Prime und Megatron und den Folgen, die daraus entstehen. Aber es wird gewarnt: Spoiler!!!

Gesten fand der erste Stammtisch von NTF-Archive satt. Der Ort des Gerschehens: Das Lari Fari XXl Mönchengladbach. Die Teilnehmer waren: Lucy, Skywarp, Alpha3, Gaja Prime, Sideways, Celice und ultradr3mer.

Um 17,00 Uhr war es soweit. Der Stammtisch fand seinen Platz im Lari Fari und direkt nach Ankunft wurde erst einmal das offizielle NTF-Archive Stammtischschild aufgestellt.

Gar nicht lang danach wurden auch schon die mitgebrachten Transformers auf den Tisch gepackt, denn es sollte doch jeder gleich sehen, um was es bei uns geht. Die Transformers wurden dann auch mit den Utensilien der Lari Fari Dekoration verschönert, oder wie man das auch nennen mag.

Jedenfalls wurde die Zeit des Wartens doch sehr verkürzt dadurch. Gewartet haben wir nicht auf schöneres Wetter ... NEIN ... natürlich haben wir auf das bestellte Essen gewartet. Was dann auch wenig später den Weg zu uns fand.

Einer jedoch bekam nicht sein bestelltes Essen. Alpha3 war doch sehr "böse" wenig vorher und so hab ich kurzerhand der sehr netten Bedienung mitgeteilt, was er denn essen darf.

Das war natürlich ein riesen Lacher und das nicht nur für uns, nein auch die Restaurantleitung und die Kellnerin hatten deutlich ihren Spaß dabei, den lieben Alpha3 ein wenig auf die Schippe zu nehmen. Er belam natürlich dann auch eine ordentliche Portion.

Noch mal Sorry an Alpha3 , es war nur ein Scherz, den du sehr gut verstanden hast und du hast super mitgemacht. Und auch noch mal ein herzliches Danke ans Lari Fari, das sie den Spaß mitgemacht haben. Dann durfte endlich gespeist werden und was soll ich sagen - ES WAR SUUUUPER LECKER!!!!! Allen hat es richtig gut geschmeckt und keiner hat mehr auch nur annähernd an die Transformers gedacht. Diese mussten in anbetracht dessen, das die Teller so überdimensional sind leider auf die Fensterbank weichen. Aber egal, es mussten die riesen Protionen erst mal in den Mägen verschwinden. Das gelang auch bis auf ein paar Beilagen ( Pommes ) allen und das ist schon mal eine Leistung. Nur irtgendwie war dann die Bewegungsfreiheit nicht mehr ganz so dolle, denn mit keine Ahnung wieviel Kilo im Magen ist es gar nicht mehr so einfach, sich zu bewegen. Aber das brauchten wir auch nicht, denn für die Bewegung waren ja andere zuständig: Die Transformers, die ja immer noch auf den Fensterbänken standen. Also damit wenigstens die Finger wieder in Bewegung waren, Transformers rangeholt und weiter gefachsimpelt. Nach noch ein zwei Drinks war dann Aufbruchstimmung und alle wollten nach Hause. Also gut die Rechnung: Tja das ist bei solch einer Meute immer so eine Sache, denn die Rechnung wird pro Tisch ausgedruckt. Aber die tolle Kellnerin Tanja, hat es mit bravor gemeistert. Sie hat alles haarklein auseinander genommen und jeder hat seinen Teil bezahlt. Super gemacht!!! Und das ganz ohne technische Hilfe. Klasse!!!.

Alles in allem war es ein sehr gelungener Abend, es war sehr lustig, aber auch harmonisch und sogar politisch. An dieser Stelle geht unser Dank noch einmal an das Lari Fari XXL Mönchengladbach Team. Es war klesse bei euch und ich kann sehr gut behaupten, das nun nicht nur die C.O.N.S. ein zu Hause gefunden hat, nein auch die NTF-Archive Schaltzentral hat ein Stammrestaurant, wo wir uns ab und zu blicken lassen, um den Stammtisch mit vielen Useren von NTF-Archive zu machen. Auf das er immer größer wird!!!

PAGE 1: We’re getting more into the politics of Cybertron with Senator Proteus, the rise of the Decepticons and how to deal with them. How far in advance did you have these kinds of political games worked out, and who would benefit from them?
JAMES ROBERTS: With “Shadowplay”—particularly Part 2—I’m trying to move MTMTE into “political thriller” territory. Well, a political thriller with some old-fashioned conspiracy tropes thrown in. This isn’t the first time I’ve explored the socio-political infrastructure of pre-war Cybertron—“Chaos Theory” (which can be found in the trade paperback of the same name), laid a lot of the groundwork upon which the plot of “Shadowplay” rests.
Structurally and hierarchically, ancient Cybertronian society has parallels with our own—there’s apartheid, civil rights, democracy (of a sort), classism, etc; to counterbalance that I wanted to bring something uniquely Cybertronian to the fore—namely the fact that these creatures are blessed (or cursed) with a second shape that determines their lot in life.
As for how far in advance I had these political games mapped out… far enough. Far enough to extend beyond this particular story.

PAGE 2: Chromedome gives chase to the bot who threw the body in front of him and Prowl from the last issue. Did you give specific designs on the sky bike and the craft he is pursuing as well as the Translucentica Heights?
JAMES ROBERTS: I certainly wanted Prowl and Chromedome’s sky bikes to be reminiscent of Action Master Prowl’s motorcycle. Just because.
The key thing about Translucentica—as the name (from “translucent”) suggests—was to make it look like it was entirely made of glass. Issue 9’s script said, “Translucentica is visible in the distance, a cluster of shimmering glass skyscrapers, sculptures, monorails, all of it tinted blue.” That was easy for me to write—the ever-talented duo of Alex Milne and Josh Burcham—had the difficult task of bringing that sentence to life.

PAGE 3: Chromedome loses his quarry and meets up with Prowl. Why put these two characters together for this story and not another pair?
JAMES ROBERTS: The simple answer is: I love Prowl and I wanted him in MTMTE.
Way, way back I pitched a story to IDW—a Prowl Spotlight set on pre-war Cybertron which had him tracking down a Transformation-Cog-stealing serial killer against a background of Decepticon rioting. Obviously that story was never written, but I was attracted to the idea of Prowl working for this CSI-type unit called the Mechaforensics Division.

PAGE 4 and 5: Prowl and Chromedome meet Red Alert and find the ’bot they are looking for. As all three of these characters have quite a bit of history to them, will we be seeing some of their actions catching up to them in future issues? Maybe across Robots in Disguise with Prowl as well?
JAMES ROBERTS: Your question reveals a universal truth about MTMTE: every character has a past, and everyone’s past will catch up with them. We’re not jumping back to pre-war Cybertron at random: events that take place during the run-up to war will have lasting repercussions on our present day crew.
