Was Transformers Prime always meant to be a 3 season show? Is this what we can expect from future shows? The answer was essentially that the base goal was to hit 65 episodes, the magic number for syndication (13 weeks of five shows per week repeated four times a year...the perfect afternoon rotation), and that they're technically lucky they got to do even that much. If the show hadn't been popular or the toys hadn't moved, it was entirely possible for the show to be canned after one season, so the production team is grateful they got to tell a complete story over the course of a full 65 episode series. - Credit Keldroc for typing that!
To follow this question, it was revealed to us also by Orci, that Beast Hunters was not added to the third season until they were very deep into production. I believe his exact words were, "we were asked to put in beasts very late into production and also the two characters we had already come up with, somehow still had to fit in" (Ultra Magnus, Shockwave)
A question by Kevin Michael Richardson (Bulkhead)
I heard there is an African American autobot that is a Cadillac Escalade on the show. When will we see him?" Laughter by the whole audience
A question.
How come on the show it seems Megatron is always winning against Optimus?
Frank Welker answered "Because he's Smarter, Stronger, Faster, more resourceful and pretty darn good looking"!
